How is it run?
Orthopaedic industry stakeholders have sponsored the registry to cover the costs associated with establishing a data platform and launching this registry. We have deliberately approached several different companies to rebuff the inference of bias favouring one company over another, broadening the scope of the UKKOR message.
How will it work with other registries?
UKKOR has been designed and built by Amplitude Clinical, experts in clinical outcomes software who also count the National Ligament Registry, the British Spine Registry and the Non-Arthroplasty Hip Registry as their clients.
In the future we intend to cross reference NHS numbers against National Joint Registry records to assist in end point identification for those patients who have subsequently undergone primary knee arthroplasty.
